Do you want to graduate high school or obtain your GED and attend college, vocational, or technical school? Do you want help finding out about money that is available for post-secondary education? Are you between the ages of 14 to 21 and are currently in or have been in foster care? If you answered yes to these questions, then the Foster Care to College Mentoring Program may be for you!
What is it?
The Foster Care to College Mentoring Program matches mentors with youth in foster care between the ages of 14-21 who are interested in pursuing post-secondary education. The program provides fun and educational opportunities and trainings for youth and mentors.You can go to college!
The Foster Care to College Mentoring Program will help you in many ways including:
- Finding money for college
- Exploring and choosing a career path
- Choosing a school to attend after high school or GED is complete
- Applying for acceptance into post-secondary education program (Tech schools, certificate programs, or college)
